Church in Halifax

CHURCH HISTORY & CHURCH LIFE

In 1998, a sister and her family moved from the church in Vancouver to Halifax. That same year, a brother from Antigua and a sister from the United States also moved there. They began to pray that the Lord would raise up the church life in Halifax, and in the next year a couple from Taiwan joined them. In the summer of 1999, some saints from Ontario toured the four Atlantic provinces (i.e. New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador) and distributed much gospel literature. In 2000, three families from Ontario moved to Halifax, joining the saints who were already there. In February 2011, Halifax was one of the cities included in the GTCA project. Full-time trainees from Anaheim, California came to labor in the gospel along with other saints. The Lord has also blessed the university campuses in the area, especially Dalhousie. Through the campus club, the Lord has brought many students to meet with the saints. There has been a number of blending conferences in Halifax and New Brunswick, affording the saints the opportunity to blend with other churches. Through all this fellowship, the sweet church life has continued to flourish.
