Church in Surrey

CHURCH HISTORY & CHURCH LIFE

The church in Surrey began in 1986 in the homes of saints who had migrated from Vancouver. In April 1989, the first Lord’s table was held in a rented private school which was owned by some brothers. In the 1990s, this school was relocated twice, and each time the saints moved, the space available for them to meet increased. Meanwhile, the Lord was bringing in saints from the Spanish-speaking parts of the world and the Far East, including countries such as the Philippines and India. In 1998, the church in Surrey purchased a meeting hall which has now become inadequate to accommodate the saints meeting there due to a steady increase in number. As of the beginning of October 2014, this facility will be torn down and replaced with a new facility on the same property.
