Church in Saskatoon

CHURCH HISTORY & CHURCH LIFE

In 1982, seven brothers and sisters began gathering in Saskatoon; eventually the number grew and there were a total of 12 saints meeting together. Most of these saints were students, and upon graduating from the University of Saskatchewan, they would return to their original localities; as a result the number of saints fluctuated quite a bit, and attendance dwindled down for a while. In 1989, two families from Malaysia and the Philippines migrated to Saskatoon and meetings resumed at a sister’s apartment. The Lord’s table was established in Saskatoon in September 1999. In 2006 a family migrated from the Ukraine. From 2007 to 2013, more families from the Ukraine, Russia and other parts of Canada were added to the church.
