Church in Richmond

CHURCH HISTORY & CHURCH LIFE

The church in Richmond began with about 30 to 40 saints meeting as the south district of the church in Vancouver. Eventually, the saints rented a school facility in Richmond and started meeting there instead. In November 1998, the church in Richmond was formally established. In 2001 and 2003, the church acquired two adjoining pieces of property successively. The church oversaw the construction of a meeting hall that has the capacity to hold conferences for the five churches in the Greater Vancouver area. The building work took place over a ten-month period and the hall was finally completed on June 12, 2012. This facility is a great help for the blending of the saints in this region. Due to parking limitations, the Lord’s Day meetings consist of morning meetings for four districts and five districts in the afternoon.
